Engagement Party
You are cordially invited to join
in congratulating Max and Kate
on their recent engagement.
A dinner/dancing party
will be held at the “club”
on Saturday, November 3rd
at 7:00 p.m.
Invitations to the engagement party have been sent. It's two days
before the party, Max asked Kate to please come by his house as
soon as possible. He has been called to go on another mission.
Just a short one, 48 hours to be exact, but Max promised Kate he
would be back in
time for their engagement party.
Kate's beginning to get nervous. Two days have passed and no Max yet!
It's time to get ready and go to the club, hopefully, he'll show up there!
Meanwhile, Aunt Minerva gets ready for the engagement party...
Minerva's sister Zelda styled her hair in a dramatic
up-do for
Max and Kate's engagement party! Minerva likes the
new look!
Minerva's date, Ramon, approves of the whole
package! Zelda picked out
Minerva's gown, telling her she needed to loosen up and live a
little!
Ramon and Minerva practiced their dance moves before
going to the party!
They make quite the dance couple on the ballroom
floor!
Natalie and Norman reserved the entire garden club for their
daughter's engagement party to be certain that there would
be plenty of rooms available to entertain the many guests
that would be attending.
Kate and her parents have arrived at the club. Kate looks
out the window, patiently waiting for Max to arrive.
The guests are beginning to arrive. Using the south entrance...
here come Rita and Michael, stars of "One Life
To Ruin!" Rita looks lovely and serene.
Michael, that handsome devil, looks just like his
brother Max! What a beautiful couple
they make! Let's hope that Rita doesn't drink too
much and cause a scene though.......she
is famous for having a streak of jealousy and
the typical redhead's temper!
Oh look, there's Cher...
and Kate's best friend Audrey, arriving through the west entrance.
Max finally does arrive and Kate is relieved. Now they can proceed
with their dinner and dancing.
Chef Monique has everything ready to go in the kitchen.
"Ahh...Bernard, be creative and find a place for the menu!"
The Jazz Katz are warming up...Norman's favorite band!
Dinner is just ending and "Magic" is ready to sing, but
wait, she wants to say a few words.
"Good evening folks! We are here to celebrate a very special couple,
Max and Kate. I wish to extend my best wishes to them for a bright
future and lots of little Max and Kate's after their betrothal. They
have a very special evening planned for all of their good friends and
family and they asked me to thank you all for being here to
celebrate their announcement to the world.
Dedicated to Max and Kate, ladies and gentlemen, Blue Moon..."
"Now let the dancing begin!"
Max and Kate are first on the dance floor.
Meanwhile, down the hall...
This is hardly the classiest place to hang out for the evening....
I mean, look! We're right next to the men's room!
But Courtney, that's just it!!! If we hang out here long enough,
every eligible bachelor at the party will have to walk right past us!
It'll be like a parade, entirely for our benefit. Trust me!
Michael was so proud of Rita.
Not only did she look
fabulous in her new designer ensemble,
but she had not had even one glass of champagne all
evening!
Meanwhile, things were definitely heating up between
Minerva and that
Latin Lover Ramon! All that dancing beneath the stars is having it's
effect!
What is it, Midge, having second thoughts about your plan?
I am starting to see the flaw in my logic, that's for sure.
Do men ever actually need the men's room?
Well, we've been here this long, we can hang out a little longer.
Arriving late is Kate's cousin Francie and her boyfriend Aaron.
Maybe we should have been hanging out at the bar instead of here?
Oh, Midge, look! Don't give up just yet,
I think a guy is heading this way through the crowd!
I think you're right, Courtney .....
and it looks like he's wearing a hat of some kind?
I love men in hats!
Umm.... can you say "party crasher"?
So, have you seen the dessert table yet?
Last one there has to go out with Napoleon.
Unable to stay for the entire party, Nascar Barbie stopped
by to congratulate Max and Kate on their engagement.
Then it's off to prepare for her race.
Norman is just about to make a toast when loud voices
are heard coming from the room down the hall.
Click here to go down the hall.
Oh my, what will become of Michael and Rita?
With guests starting to leave, Max and Kate make arrangements
with his pilot for their departure.
After all their guests have left, Max and Kate pose for
their engagement picture, then they leave as well.
Thanks for coming everyone!
to be continued...
